Dr. Kat and Eric Fausch founded Fireside Direct Primary Care out of a shared belief that medicine works best when it is personal, unrushed, and grounded in trust. Both trained within the traditional healthcare system, they witnessed firsthand how time constraints, administrative burdens, and insurance-driven care often interfered with the very reasons they entered medicine - to listen deeply, think thoughtfully, and care for patients as whole people.

Leaving the conventional system was not a rejection of science or standards of care, but a commitment to practicing medicine with integrity. Fireside DPC was created to restore what modern healthcare too often loses: time, continuity, and a genuine physician-patient relationship.

At Fireside, Dr. Kat and Eric practice comprehensive primary care through a Direct Primary Care model that allows them to focus fully on their patients - not paperwork or productivity metrics. With smaller patient panels, longer visits, and direct access, they are able to provide proactive, evidence-based care that emphasizes prevention, lifestyle medicine, and long-term health.
