FAQs

When can I sign up?

Join at https://firesideDPC.hint.com/signup.

Space will be limited to 300 patients per physician.

What is included in my membership?

All office visits are included with no co-pay or extra fee. All communication is, too.

Many procedures are included, such as joint injections, skin biopsies, sutures, etc.

Please note, at this time, vaccines are not included in membership. However, we are often able to get these through pharmacies or the health department. If you have questions, please reach out.

How much does it cost?

$125 per individual, or $300 per family (see pricing), per month. Initial consultation visits include $100 consultation / registration fee. Membership is billed once you sign up, on a monthly basis. You can also pay yearly and received one free month.

What is NOT included in my membership?

Labs drawn in our office will be an additional charge ($5 draw fee to cover supplies, plus the cost of lab tests themselves). We offer significantly discounted labs through Labcorp as well. You can use your insurance for these things by going directly to Labcorp, Sanford, etc.

Procedures that require extra supplies may result in extra cost.

We will ALWAYS tell you the exact cost ahead of time. There is NO surprise billing in DPC.

Why did Drs Fausch open a direct primary care clinic?

To put it shortly, insurance doesn’t allow the type of care we (both Dr. Eric and Kat) want to give. We want to give you access to us when you need it, and the time to get to the root cause of your issues. We want to talk through a health journey with you. Insurance doesn’t care if we heal you; it only cares how many of you we see in a day, and if we documented details they wanted to collect correctly.

Do you take insurance?

We do not process insurance for office visits nor do we provide superbills. However, we will work with insurance to cover medications, labs, imaging, and specialist consults. We do not directly bill or deal with insurance. By cutting the middle man out, we are much more equipped to serve YOU, instead of serving insurance companies. Please note, we do not provide superbills.

Do I still need insurance?

Probably. Have some sort of coverage for hospitalizations, specialists, or unforeseen illness. There are options other than insurance, such as health shares. Although 80-90% of healthcare can be completed at our DPC office, some additional coverage is beneficial for these emergencies, expensive medications, or changes in health.

How do I cancel my membership?

If DPC isn’t right for you, no worries. Just send us an email and we’ll take care of the rest.

What if I cancelled my membership, but want to rejoin?

There is a $400 re-enrollment fee. Patients who have cancelled more than once will not be eligible for re-enrollment.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Patients on controlled substances are welcome at Fireside DPC, however we will not be managing long term controlled substances for new patients. Please plan accordingly and maintain a relationship with the appropriate specialist for these prescriptions.

What ages do you see?

We are happy to see patients of all ages and walks of life. Please note, for children under age 6, we recommend maintaining an insurance-based doctor for vaccines or coming up with an alternative plan (pharmacy or health department) with us.

Do you provide vaccinations?

Flu vaccines are a covered member benefit at no extra cost. However, due to the price of other vaccines, we will not be able to provide these as included benefits. You are more than welcome to purchase these at cash price through us, and we will administer them. We often are able to get these covered at no cost to you through a pharmacy, but we never know until we try for you specifically.

We are actively working to coordinate vaccination supply, and will update members as we make progress. As always, please support legislation that allows public health access to vaccines for ALL South Dakotans through the public health department.
